Observer: Chrissie Larkin

CHRISSIE LARKIN
National Observer

Chrissie passed her driving test first time aged 17, having a passion for driving since a young age. Chrissie recalls learning to drive on an abandoned airfield, despite a parachutist nearly landing on the bonnet. Aged 19, having realised cars were easier to control than horses, Chrissie passed her advanced driving test and was pictured in the Nottingham Evening Post as one of the youngest advanced drivers in the country, at the time.

Chrissie then became an observer in Nottingham before qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist, moving to Brighton before moving to the Lincolnshire Wolds where she has remained ever since. Later in life, Chrissie became an ADI, running her own driving school and re-took her advanced driving test, gaining a F1RST before becoming a National Observer.
